The weather was beautiful today, so we took the opportunity to have some fun in our after-school program.
We focused on respect, trust, consistency, and communication while working alongside these babies.
Today marked only their second day being haltered, and together the students and colts learned how to communicate and build mutual respect.
The students were asked to step into leadership roles; becoming the calm, confident guides these young horses needed to feel safe and trust the process.
Watching confidence grow on both ends of the lead rope is always something special.
Thanks again to The National Sixties Scoop Healing Foundation of Canada for funding this program!
